We rented our private boat for a morning trip to pig island. It was a great trip, not too busy and the kids loved snorkeling and feeding the pigs. Defo a must do here on Samui

The tour was good, but the island was smaller than I expected. The pigs were adorable, and the beach was relaxing, but there wasn’t much else to do. The guides were friendly and kept things running smoothly. It’s a nice trip if you want something quick and easy.

This was a good experience overall. The pigs were cute, but they didn’t stay around for long, which was a little disappointing. The island itself is really beautiful, though, and the boat ride was fun. Bring water shoes if you plan to swim—there are a few rocks.

We enjoyed the tour, but I was hoping for a bit more interaction with the pigs. The beach was clean and quiet, and the boat ride was smooth. Our guide was great and explained a lot about the area. It’s worth doing, just don’t expect to spend hours with the pigs.

  1. Pickup from your hotel or villa (optional)

    Pickup times08:0013:00

If you booked a transfer, our driver will pick you up at the mentioned time from your hotel or villa on Koh Samui. Our air-conditioned minivan brings you and your group south to Thong Krut. That's where the private longtail boat leaves from.

  2. If you didn't book a transfer, please self-arrive to the pier 15 minutes before the tour starting time.

  3. Put on a life jacket, pick a seat and we're ready to start the private pig island tour! The boat ride to Koh Tan takes about 15-20 minutes.

  4. The captain anchors the boat close to a reef near Koh Tan. You can go swimming, snorkeling or relaxing on the boat here. We provide masks & snorkels, and you are free to go snorkeling.

  5. When everyone is back on the boat we make our way to the neighbouring island of Koh Madsum, also known as Pig Island.

  6. After a very short boat ride we arrive at pig island. The island is home to the famous group of pigs. You can feed them, spend time in the water with them or relax at the beach. There is a beach bar with cold drinks and snacks.

  7. After quite some time with the pigs we board the longtail boat for the last leg back to Koh Samui. This trip should take no more than 20 minutes.

  8. Drop-off times13:0018:00

If you booked a transfer, our air-conditioned minivan will bring your group back to the hotel or villa on Koh Samui. If you’re staying in the north, the trip should take no more than 30 minutes.

The private pig island tour from Koh Samui is a nice trip to experience the small islands south of Koh Samui. You will have plenty of time to go snorkeling, relaxing on the beach or go swimming with the pigs. If you want to bring food for the pigs; they love watermelons! In addition, you can go kayaking at Pig Island for an extra fee, which can be arranged on the spot.

FAQs

Lunch or dinner can be arranged at a beach side restaurant on return from the trip. It's not included but can be arranged for THB 300/person. If you want to include food, please let us know during checkout so we can arrange a delicious Thai-style set menu for you.

Yes, as it's a private tour you can bring your own food & drinks. There is a cooling box with ice on every boat to keep your drinks cool. You can also enjoy drinks and snacks at the beach bar on Koh Madsum (Pig Island) for a reasonable price.

If it’s just raining, we'll still go out on this tour as it is a special experience as well to go snorkeling and to visit pig island in the rain. When the waves are too high for us to go out with the longtail boat, we'll cancel the tour and offer you an alternative date or refund the paid fees.

The best time to visit Pig Island & Koh Taen is right after the rainy season (February - October). The seas are usually calm and we’ll get plenty of sunshine. The best months are April and May, but keep in mind it will get hot on the island so bring plenty of (reef safe) sunscreen!

Yes. Cancelling or moving your booking to another date is free up to 24 hours before the tour starts, and anything you have paid is refunded in full. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the start time are non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded. If we have to cancel, for example for weather or safety, you can move to another date or take a full refund.

A deposit is required for all private tours if you chose to pay cash on tour option. After you submit your booking, we will send you an email with deposit payment instructions. Please note that your booking is not confirmed until we receive the deposit. This deposit helps us secure the boat and arrange all services specifically for your group. We use secure and reliable payment channels to ensure your information is protected.

To keep the ride safe, this tour is not suitable for back problems, heart conditions or pregnant women. If that could apply to anyone in your group, contact us before booking and we will help you find a better fit.

The pigs were cute, but they didn’t seem very interested unless you had food for them. The beach was okay, but it wasn’t as nice as I hoped. The boat ride was fine, but the whole tour felt a bit overpriced for what it was. I’d only recommend it if you really love pigs.

Great half day tour, from booking the night before for a next morning trip everything was well communicated and very promptly. The tour itself was made so much better by our guide and driver who took great care of us for the whole trip. Our guide was knowledgeable, courteous and interacted with us for the majority of the trip. Would recommend 👍🏻

Einfach klasse. Vielen Dank für diesen tollen Tag.

I highly recommend picking this company for the tours they do. We went looking for pink dolphins, which we saw, snorkeling and then pig island. Lunch was included. It was a fantastic day
