Every tour on this site goes to Koh Madsum, the island south of Koh Samui that everyone calls Pig Island. The pigs are the same on every trip. What changes is the boat, the hours, who you share it with and what else is bolted on: the Koh Tan reef, a sunset run home, the pink dolphins off Khanom, or a jet ski you drive yourself.

What every shared tour includes
Book any of the group boats and the basics look alike:
- A minivan pickup from your Koh Samui hotel inside the covered zones, with a return drop-off
- The crossing from the south coast piers at Thong Krut or Bang Kao
- Time on the beach with the pigs, and a snorkel stop on the Koh Tan reef
- Snorkel gear, life vests, drinking water and fruit, and a Thai meal on most trips
- Accident insurance on the operator's terms
Two things to check before you pay. The Pig Island landing fee of THB 50 per adult is paid in cash on the island on every tour; it is never in the online price, and children are free. And the private boats quote for the boat, not per person, which makes them cheap for six and expensive for two. The prices page lays both out.
What the day looks like
Morning tours collect you between about 08:00 and 09:15 depending on your hotel and reach the pier within the hour. The crossing to Pig Island is short, ten to twenty minutes on a speedboat in calm water and about half an hour on the catamaran. You wade in, meet the pigs, swim, and then move on to Koh Tan fifteen minutes away for the reef. Half-day trips are back at the pier around 13:00. The afternoon and sunset departures run the same loop later and come home with the light going down.
Captains reorder the two islands when the tide or the wind says so. The pigs are always on the itinerary; which island comes first is not a promise.
Common questions
Koh Madsum sits about three kilometres off the south coast of Koh Samui, next to the larger island of Koh Tan. Boats leave from Thong Krut and Bang Kao piers. It is not near Phuket, and it is not the Bahamas one.
There is no ferry. Every visit is by chartered or shared boat from the south coast, so the cheapest route is a shared speedboat or catamaran seat, and the most flexible is a private longtail. The getting there guide compares them.
Yes, but Koh Samui is step one. Get to the island first, by ferry from Surat Thani, Koh Phangan or Koh Tao or by air, and book a tour with a hotel pickup for the next morning.
