FAQs
Any prior experience is welcomed but not necessary. Our tour guide will guide you all the way to Pig Island and back and is there to help out in the rare case where problems occur. Learning how to drive a jet ski can be done prior to the tour.
The driver of the jet ski needs to be at least 18 years old to participate. Younger kids can join as a passenger as long as they are comfortable enough sitting down on a jet ski for an extended time.
Our jet ski safari usually goes ahead in rainy and calm weather. But if the waves are too high for a safe and comfy ride to Pig Island, we'll let you know as soon as we can. If this happens, you've got options! If our guide thinks it's best, we'll redirect the tour towards Koh Phangan where the waters are calmer instead. If not, you can reschedule or get a refund. Just a heads-up, the weather can be unpredictable, so there might be times when we can only tell you about these changes right before your tour. Thanks for understanding!
The ride to Pig Island takes around 1 hour, depending on weather conditions and the route of the group. You will be able to spend around 40 minutes at Pig Island, either exploring or snorkeling close to the island. There is a small bar & restaurant on the island if you want to relax a bit. The return trip is another 1 hour by jet ski. The total duration of the trip is 3 hours.
Yes. Cancelling or moving your booking to another date is free up to 24 hours before the tour starts, and anything you have paid is refunded in full. We booked the morning slot and the sea was calm and the visibility perfect. The ride out to Koh Madsum took about 50 minutes and every minute of it was fun.

The morning slot with calm conditions is the way to do this tour if you can manage it - the sea was glassy and the visibility beautiful. The Yamaha jets are properly powerful and felt well maintained. Guide Mook led the group at a good pace and managed the mix of experienced and first-time riders well throughout. Pig Island was fun - snorkeling, pigs, beach bar, good views back towards Samui. The ride back along the south coast as the sun came up higher was a great way to end.

I went in nervous - never ridden a jet ski - and came back completely hooked. The guide did a solid briefing and stayed close for the first ten minutes until I had my confidence. Once we hit open water and I understood what the machine could do, it was pure fun. Pig Island was a lovely reward at the end - friendly pigs wading in the sea, decent snorkeling and a cold drink at the beach bar. The ride back was actually my favourite part because by then I was completely comfortable and could really enjoy it.

My boyfriend and I shared a jet ski and swapped at Pig Island which worked perfectly. The guide set a good group pace but gave us freedom to speed up or slow down within reason. The pigs on the beach were genuinely funny to interact with - they swam out and one of them tried to eat my sunscreen. The snorkeling near the island was decent with clear water and a few fish to see.

The jet skis were fine and the guide was friendly enough, but I had a frustrating experience overall. The sea was quite choppy on the day and the ride to Pig Island was uncomfortable rather than fun - the guide had us riding at a conservative pace the whole way which I understand for safety but it wasn't the thrilling experience I'd paid for. The time on the island was only about 35 minutes which felt very rushed. The pigs were nice but Pig Island itself is quite small and gets crowded when multiple tours arrive at the same time, which they did while we were there. For the price I expected more time on the island and better conditions guidance beforehand so I could have chosen a different day.
